Make the most of your remarkable event of a lifetime among the impressive vaulted ceilings and striking views of scenic Burnaby Lake and its extraordinary natural scenery and wildlife.

Venue rental information

Rental of the venue includes a set floorplan, tables and chairs and one staff liason.

  • Weekday bookings (Monday – Thursday)
  • Morning rentals: $1,500 (7 am–6 pm, 8 consecutive hours)
  • Evening rentals: $2,000 (2 pm–midnight, 8 consecutive hours)
  • Weekend bookings (Friday – Sunday and stat holidays)

Rental fee: $3000 (8 am–midnight, 8 consecutive hours)

The following add-ons are available:

  • Additional hours: $150/hour (consecutive hours)
  • Warming kitchen: $500 - warming unit, two fridges, ice machine, dishwasher, coffee and tea urns
  • AV: $350 - mic, projector, background speaker and TV
  • Dressing room: $250
  • Portable bar: $250

Key considerations when renting Burnaby Lake Pavilion:

  1. $500 damage deposit 
    Damage deposits are charged on top of your rental fee. GST to be charged on all fees applicable. The damage deposit will be refunded after the event if there is no damage/additional cleaning. An extra cleaning fee of $500 may apply.
  2. Appropriate General Liability Insurance required on all rentals
    You can choose your own provider or get a free quote from AON/IRC Insurance who have developed a City of Burnaby specific program for our facilities: burnaby.instantriskcoverage.com
  3. Special Occasion Permit required for serving of alcohol
    If you plan to serve alcohol, you will need to ensure this is included in your general liability insurance. You will also need to obtain a BC Special Occasion liquor license online.
  4. SOCAN/RESOUND fees
    All rentals must pay for the SOCAN/resound fees. For more information on fees for playing music in public venues please visit: entandemlicensing.com

Host your ceremony inside the elegant Burnaby Lake Pavilion or on our stunning outdoor pier.
Indoor Wedding Ceremony $1,500 
Indoor ceremonies will have reception tables alongside the side of the room. After the ceremony is complete, the space will be flipped for your reception including the following:

  • Reception chairs
  • Wireless hand-held microphone and sound system
  • Marriage license table

(This would also apply in inclement weather) 
Pier Wedding Ceremony $2,200 

  • Ceremony chairs
  • Wireless hand-held microphone and sound system
  • Marriage license table

Pier Rental For Only $1,200 
The rental of the pier allows you to bring in your own chairs, marriage license table, speaker and microphone.
